More Golden Palace Problems

Because of Ken...

Toolman, I had never played Golden Palace before I read about the $10 in free chips and only then, because I knew Ken Smith was advertising for them. Had I not seem Ken's commersial during the UBT show I never would had signed up with them.

I am willing to take a chance based on Ken's association with Golden Palace. I cannot see Ken advertising any online site that would screw us around.

I have paid no money into this site therefore I feel that I am risking nothing. Of course it could be argued that I should boycott out of principle but I will give them the benefit of the doubt for now. I will review the situation in a week and decide what to do then. Let's see what happens if I try and withdraw my crosby, stills and nash.

Don't let this put you off signing up for one of the other FREE sites though. Give it a go, you might like it!

The $10 sign up bonus was limited to the first 100 people - to sign up by a time limit - according to what I saw - I thought I was going to be too late to do it - but - did get that promptly

I too have had a glitch where the buttons did not show up - and I could not make a play - so got timed out - it happened once - also have had the program/site go dead on me twice - only recovery was to shut down the program and restart - this resulted in my missing many hands and suffering the obvious consequences in both cases -

I did make a small deposit - $25 - to seed my account - as I did not think I would get the $10 bonus - so I have a small amount of seed money - the $10 bonus - and a larger amount of winnings in my account now - enough that I would like to be sure that I could get it out - which seems like it may be a problem -

these problems shouldn't be happening with a company that has been around for a long time - the bj may be new - but Golden Palace is not - the problems seem to be either incompetence or dishonesty - neither good

Its not only with Golden P, what about Global Players game freezing during semi and final tables. UB is more than well known for ABSENT. Bet21 still holding signing bonuses? This industry is full of problems. Not surprising considering where the businesses are from. It sure aint silicon valley.

Was I too early?

I signed up as soon as I saw the thread about Ken and Golden Palace in the "Announcements" forum which was before the post that the Golden Palace rep put up in this forum. Does that mean I was too early?

10-28-2006 100 Freeroll

Well Golden Palace has done it again.

I got up to try one of their "freerolls" I registered for the event - along with 117 others for the 0730 GMT event. It is 0750 GMT and they still haven't seated for the tourney.

Cancelled tourney's, not refunded buy-ins, horrible CS - In my opinion this site sucks. Barney I'm glad you won lots here but compared to the other TBJ sites I'm not going to bother any more.

They've got a big tourney advertised for Oct 31 but I will NOT register because the way I feel they'll just take the 47 and run.

Personally I know people have been saying things about Bet21.com but compared to Golden Palace there is NO comparison. It's like comparing a Mercedes to a Yugo.

I have to admit that I am disappointed. I only joined Golden Palace due to an endorsement - they (Golden) haven't lived up to the hype and I don't understand why!

 

GP failing to run tourneys

Golden Palace failed to run at least three tourneys tonight - as unhappy as I am with them - since I have money in account there - and evidently no one is able to get money out - I decided I might as well get some play out of it - GP failed to run a $2+0.20/$500 guaranteed tourney and two $100 freerolls tonight - the $500 tounrey had only 30-some players - so they would have had to put a lot of money into it - but the tourney lobby said they only needed 25 players to run it - and they had more than that - the freerolls were - of course-freerolls - no entry fees for them to collect -

they are still running the 'quick games' - don't know about anything else -

they are getting very few players - except for their freerolls - and probably tanking it on the money - paying out more in their freerolls and guaranteed tourneys then they are taking in - by a few thousand a day most likely - guess they got tired of paying out the bucks - so just aren't bothering to run the tourneys they won't make money off of - they are not even bothering to cancel them - they just sit there forever - but they will come out all right - as they seem to be keeping everyone's money - and not letting anyone withdraw any:laugh:

at least they refunded the entry fee I paid for the $500 tourney to my account - for what ever that's worth -

time to start filing complaints with the tribal gaming commission maybe????

The quick play real money (read RAKED) games are working just fukin fine!

Its the freeroll, 250, 500, 1000, guarentee games that just never seem to start....no matter the number of players...

If there are technical difficulties..ok fine fix them...heres a hint...check your raked games that are working fine and make your free roll, guarentee teasers work just like those....

How do you get away with crap like this?

A 2 dollar refund on a 250 dollar guarentee game that I moved up thru the rounds in... only to be locked up... does not equal a 2 dollar refund...

for some reason I found $7.35 credited to my account for the $250 guarateed tourney that hung up forever? - I was not leading my table at the time it hung - but was in second - so???

still haven't a resolution on the feeder tourney win they haven't paid off - but since the site is now working again I'll try emailing them again - I would be happy with an entry into the second fright night tourney

 

more GP stuff

well - I finally got an official response to my inquiry as to if I get an entry fee refund from the Fright Night Tourney they canceled - official response was - no refund - we are just keeping the money from the feeder tournaments -

guess we have figured out if it is incompetence or dishonesty - it's dishonesty

has anyone who has tried to get money out of their account suceeded yet? - it has been - what - eight days for at least one person? - maybe they will thank you for your contribution - I didn't even get a thank you - they're just keeping the money

 

Looks like the 0200 GMT tourneys all hung tonight. Finally got enough people for the $2 tourney. Sheesh!!
