    Play not required...

There will be no disqualifcations if a certain level of side action on the regular tables is not met before a certain round (which seems to be coming more commom at least in some of the bigger tournaments).

Although they (like any casino) would love side action from every player, it is not required for play in any of the Tulsa Cherokee tournaments from February 6th - 12th, 2007.

I think what Monkeysystem is asking is if there is any play requirement to enter the tournament. In other words, is any play required before the tournament in order to "qualify" for a tournament entry?

    NO minimum play

Although, Oklahoma is famous for their minimum play requirement to participate in tournaments; This tournament series does NOT require minimum play to participate in any of the tournaments for the Oklahoma State Championships. These tournaments are open entry tournaments to all players.

    My Bad...lol

No, if you want to play just pay your entry fee, as long as it doesn't sell out.

They use to have a 10 hour requirement to play in their monthly tournaments, but they even stopped that a few months back.

Eric (TD) understands that it is easier to get players in if they only have to travel in once. Pre-qualifying for bigger tournaments just hurts the casinos chances of pulling in more players. Pre-qulifying tends to make most events more of a locals tournament.

    Oklahoma State Blackjack Championships

As we are getting closer to the Oklahoma State Blackjack Championships, I wanted to add that all players who are pre-registered for the main event will be invited to attend the Oklahoma State Main Event Party in the ballroom from 7:00 pm to 11:00 pm. Hor d'oeuves and choice beverages will be served.

Also the winner of the main event will receive a custom Oklahoma State Blackjack Championship RING. This is a one of a kind ring. As soon as I get pictures of the ring, I will post them.

In the tournament area, we will be offering two table satellites, and sit n go's for the main event starting at 6:00 pm. Also we will offer sit n go's as speed tournaments. A minimum of 2 players is required to play, and the different buy-ins will be $50, $100, or $200. The house will apply a 5% fee to each game hosted, and first place will receive all prize money.

If you need anymore information about the events, or you need hotel accomodations please call me at (918) 384-6919 or you can email me at ericw.woods@cnent.com. I look foward to meeting everyone during these events.

The Oklahoma State Championship RING has arrived. Attached are a couple of pictures. The top of the ring is the state of Oklahoma surrounded by "State Championship" along with a heart, diamond, club, and a spade. One side of the ring has "2007 Cherokee" on it with the Cherokee embleem, and the other has "Blackjack" with an Ace/Jack of spades below it. I have spoken to most of you who are attending the event in February, and I look foward to meeting everyone in person. If anyone else is planning on attending the event, and I havent talked with you, please dont hesitate to call me, PM me, and email me. Dont forget Cherokee is adding $15,000 to the Oklahoma State Championship Main Event, and the winner will take the ring along with 45% of the prize pool!
