    Yes...

    Because of the state gaming regulations, we had to make some changes to stay within the limits allowed by the state. Such as no more than $400 may be paid in by a player on a give day, so we changed from $300 buy-in with two $150 re-buys to a $200 buy-in with two $100 re-buys and stay under the $400 limit, but now offer two re-buys to each player.

    Here is a list of the Seattle (Auburn) buy-ins and entries.

    TBJPA Friday 28th: $100 - buy-in, $50, re-buys, $35 fee
    Normal TBJPA fees would be $150 entry, $75 re-buy, and $15 fee.

    TBT Sat./Sun. 29th and 30th: $200 buy-in, $100 re-buys, $70 fee.
    Normal TBT fees would be $300 entry, $150 re-buy, and $30 fee.

    Iron Horse events will cost less money and will return all buy-ins and re-buys 100%.

    The TBT championship funding will be coming out of the fees and not out of the buy-ins and re-buys as we normally do, we had to rearrange the wording a little for Washington, so we could still offer the re-buys. Th eplayers will actually be paying less at Auburn then in other TBJPA/TBT events due to the Gaming restrictions.

    Seattle TBJPA

    Iron Horse just published the rules and the Sat & Sun show $300 ($100 Entry and $200 Buy-in). I'll show them your post with a $200 fee so they can make the changes.

    They also indicate Satellites on Thursday Sept 27th:
    $30 Buy-in satellites
    $60 Buy-in satellites

    I assume the $30 is for Friday event ($150) and $60 is for Sat or Sun ($200).

    Back in the prize pool

    From my understanding some of the casinos fees are getting added back into the prize pool by the casino. That might be the $30 difference.

    Worst case situation if I only played on Sat or Sun.
    $200 buy-in
    $200 (two re-buys)
    $70 fee
    $40 (one-time fee)
    $75 (one time TBJPA fee) = $685 Total
    Is this Correct?

    TBT - Sat. / Sun. events

    There is no $75 TBJPA fee, below is the breakdown of buy-ins and entry fees along with.

    Here is the breakdown for Sat. / Sun. TBT events.

    Saturday total:

    $ 40 TBJPA fee (covers both Sat./Sun.)
    $200 buy-in
    $100 re-buy
    $100 re-buy
    $ 70 - $100 entry fee (but $30 is suppose to be added back in prize pool, if the $100 is charged).

    Sat. total = $510 - $540 (worst case, with 2 re-buys)

    Sunday total:

    $200 buy-in
    $100 re-buy
    $100 re-buy
    $ 70 - $100 entry fee (but $30 is suppose to be added back in prize pool, if the $100 is charged).

    Sun. total = $470 - $500 (worst case, with 2 re-buys)

    Worst case total for both Sat./Sun. = $980 - $1,040 (with every possible re-buy added).

    Prize payouts (based on 18 semifinalist) for these events.

    1st = 35%
    2nd = 20%
    3rd = 15%
    4th = 10%
    5th = 5%
    6th + 3%
    7th - 18th = 1% each

    TXtourplayer,
    Are you or Iron Horse seriously charging $35 (Fri.) and $70 (Sat.& Sun.) admin. fees -- 35% of buy-in or 17.5% of total buy-in + 2 rebuys?!
    Seattle area players are trained toward value and are accustomed to generous BJ tournament overlays of $1000+, not confiscatory fees. I hope this is an error. Otherwise, I'd be forced to play in my usual Everett area tourneys this weekend rather than the Auburn TBJPA events to which I had been looking forward for some bigger action.

    Seattle or bust

    Just to let you know that the arrangements are all in place and Neil Gagg and I we will be flying out from Manchester on Monday. We will probably have a look in at the Iron Horse casino before the satellite tournaments on Thursday, so if the Seattle crowd or others are in please approach us and say hello. You will easily be able to pick us out because Neil Gagg has had his head shaved and will be wearing his traditional large fedora hat and I look like a seventies throwback with the same hairstyle that I have had from 1973.

    Also, our broad northern English accents should make us stand out and will probably be incomprehensible to the American ear.

    See you all soon.

    Andy ;)

    Andy,
    Two things before you arrive. The beer is cold and weak, and most people have seen enough Monty Python, and Fawlty Towers to understand you two. Good luck and welcome!!!
