Reachy Ok, I know you want pictures of people, but here's a little of the resort from my room's window taken with the webcam on my macbook. (This is morning, of course, when most sane people get up....I'm just now going to bed)
Joe, Thanks for the update. You forgot to include that picture that Hollywood Dan took of you! Joe step away from the monkey!
Ace Thanks for the piccies Ace. Looks a bit overcast there. Have you got a big coat with you? Cheers Reachy
Thanks. Now who are they? Can you tell me who these people are? Are they forum users? I can see Ken S, Hollywood, Anthony Curis and is that the back of Joe P with the ringlets? Cheers Reachy
New tables, are the chips new also? Here are pictures from the 1st event at N. Lake LV (Green layouts) and Aruba (Burgundy layouts). I like the new cream color layouts (look cream or off white anyway), but they will sure be hard to keep clean. Also I like the Mederterain style BJ tables, nice. Also are the chips the same as what you used in Aruba? I never saw any pictures of the chips in Aruba. I know they are different than what we played with at N. Lake LV. I like the fact that UBT is changing the chips, very good idea. Sorry owning a casino company I notice little things like this...lol *Note: That is a "For Fun" casino company! Aruba Picture: http://www.blackjacktournaments.com/bb/attachment.php?attachmentid=117&stc=1&d=1159238798 N. Lake LV tables & chips: Last, I like the fact UBT is using seat down style tables. If you are going to play sit & go events all day long, it is a lot nicer to be seating in a chair than a stool. Also I a lot easier to set up seat down tables and not worry about bring stools (that is from over 20 years of experience talking now...LOL). Now as a dealer it sucks to deal sitting down, but what the hell they are getting paid + tip's.

New St Kitts Update This is the Final Table for the first 540 event in St Kitts Marvin Ornstein Blair Rodman Joe Pane Kris Judkins Joe Reitman Dennis Brown Have to get back to play the Final Table in 10 minutes Joep
St. Kitts First $540 Final Table results Here are the Final results for the 1st event 1st Place Blair Rodman 10,430 2nd Place Joe Reitman 4,170 3rd Place Dennis Brown 2,500 4th Place Kris Judkins 1,660 5th Place Marvin Ornstein 1,250 6th Place Joe Pane 845 The tournament was over at hand 16 I had bad betting position and came out with big bets and on the first elimination hand I was all in for 84,000 the other players didnt go with me but bet big to try to stay close . I was dealt a A-6 vs a dealers up card of 3 she hit twice and made a 20 eliminating me but pretty much crippling the table and their big semi correlation bets. 2 Hands later Marvin was eliminated and the following hand Kris was eliminated . It was heads up by hand 16 with Joe Having 65,000 and blair had 94,000 This total has been corrected from 104,000 sorry Joe secret bet 31,000 and Blair secret bet 37,000 Joe was dealt a 10-10 and Blair was dealt a 10-7 Dealers up card was a 10 Joe secret action and stood Blair surrendered and the dealer had 20 giving Blair the win. Blair has now won 2 of 3 UBT 540 events Joep
small correction what a great match, and a tense final hand... one adjustment though was that Blair's chip total was 94,000, not 104,000. Blair's 37k bet was just enough to cover Joe Reitman's potential All-in (if they both win, Blair beats Joe by 1000) but unfortunately it meant that Blair would lose the low to Joe if Joe pushed his 20 on the dealer's 10 while Blair lost his hand... Blair sat for his full 3 minute time limit weighing the pros & cons of surrendering to beat Joe's potential push vs. standing and hoping he didn't get swung (or even half-swung). in the end i think he made the right choice to surrender, but kudos to Joe who would've won his first major blackjack tourney if only his 20 woulda stood up!! rock on -- -hd.
Congratulations Blair For those who don't know Blair Rodman, he is a top poker pro and damn good tournament blackjack player. He has been on the final TV table at least twice that I know of (one for the WPT). A few years back Blair was in the running for "Player of the year" for the WSOP. He was also one of the finalist in the Las Vegas Hiltons first ever Million Dollar Blackjack Tournament. Blair, besides being an excellent card player is one of the nicest people you would ever want to meet. Continued success down in St. Kitts.
Chip for St Kitts The Orange chips are 5K The Yellow Chips are 1K The Purple Chips are 500 The Green Chips are 250 Joep
Tuesday's Report End of day 3 report Today was the first 540 event that had 43 Players paying 500 + 40 creating a 21,500 prize pool. It also was my first UBT Final table after 10 tries which is not a bad number but one that I would like to improve on but 1 out of 10 will show a long term profit on the Tour. Prior to today I was having 2 bad days in a row and today seemed to be some what better as I cashed in a one table sit & go after taking the collar in 9 straight tournamnets, and made the final table in the 540 event. Although I finished 6th I had all my money in the circle with a soft DD vs a dealers 3 and no one covering me on the high. If I win that hand I believe that I would have had control of the table and my results would have been better. But its all about making the money table and I was able to accomplish that today. My Semi Final table was a great match will the lead changing hands between Kris, then Me then Kenny and then back to me with Annie and Darryl always within 1 bet of taking charge. The last hand had Kris and Annie having secret bets but I didn't but I had the lead of just short of a max bet and I was able to bet 23,500 and still have a low on Annie and I was sure a low on Kris as he was Br2 and had to protect against Annie Duke getting all of her money in action. They both bet 25,000 and I bet 23,500 they were dealt 18 for Kris 17 for Annie and 20 for me. Annie DD on her 17 and busted and Kris and I moved on to the money table. The question about how many players are here and playing as I know Rick has private messaged Ace asking him that question is hard to have a final number on as players were still arriving today and some of the casino customers have walked in to play some of the Sit & Go's But Rick..... Russ Hamilton told me to tell you if you need any info about St Kitts the UBT Tour and prize money and number of players attending to call him directly on his phone and he will supply you with the answers to all of your questions. Ok back to the important stuff On the schedule for Wednesday is a volley ball game in the pool that will be filmed for CBS with prizes for the winning teams There is also a party for all the players at night ,UBT has rented out a Beach Club and a Karoke contest will also take place and be filmed .Drinking with the monkeys will take place before the singing so this should be one hell of a get together. Hollywood Dave has promised to sing " If I Had A Hammer" David Page is scheduled to sing " Please Surrender" Another 540 event will take place at 3 PM and the main event will be played on Thursday with the finals being filmed on Friday Until I see you guys again good luck and I hope you enjoyed this St Kitts update.
