    Points points and more points

I was remiss in reporting the points for the Sit & Go contest

After the close of business today we have new leaders

Vera (Adriana Jade) now leads with 16 points

    Ken Smith 13

    Previn Markodi 12

    Marvin Ornstein 11

Robert Blechman,David Matthews and Michael Castellano are tied with 10 points

I have 4 points after some sick overall results and I'm not happy about it . just ask the monkeys they run for cover when they see me now.

    Joep, why?

Joep, why even bring up my name? There have been a few asking about the number of players down in St. Kitt here on the this thread, I have not been one of them.

Yes, I did send Ace a PM and if you want to read it was not negative towards UBT in anyway, but for some reason you insist on trying to make me anti-UBT.

As you know, Russ called me last Thursday before the radio show and made me that offer. However if I see or hear of anything wrong or questionable, or that is good in a blackjack tournament I'll post about it no matter the format and it doesn't matter if it is at a land base or on-line casino.

So far everything sounds like it is going great down there and I have only posted very positive posts about St. Kitts. So again, why even bring my name up?

Congratulations on making the finals yesterday in the $540 event.

    Thanks Ken.

Is anyone else having trouble seeing the photos on yesterday's report at the UBT site?

    Hey JP

Please don't beat up on Rick. I was one the posters on this forum asking for a head count. Anybody running a tournament should willingly share that information.
I would still like to know and I think it's a legitimate question for Russ to answer. Have Russ call me. You have my number.
What the hell is the big deal here?

Is the 3rd person in picture 1 really JoeP? I thought it was Russ initially. They do have the same polo shirts (where can I get one?)

Any details on the Boys vs Girls Pool Volleyball tournament yet? ;)

    Cheers

I've seen it written somewhere, perhaps at the UBT site or LVA. I believe it's 140 or 150.

    If thats true

If thats true its amazing how only a select few show up in the photos and standings. If you have 150 players and only a very select few making it it doesnt bode well for individuals competing in these events. hmmm. ;)

Also, if there are 150 forking out about 10Gs to go down there just think of the participation in Vegas and Barona! Thousands?

    Secret bet

I know that this may appear to be a basic question for the initiated but some of us have not yet seen elimination blackjack on television.

How do you make your secret bet in a live game?

    Andy.

    Andy,

In a live game you just request it - secret bet please.

A fold out form is given to you along with a pen. You get up and walk away from the table and fill it out. Then you fold it over and place in into the betting circle.

After the cards are dealt then you have a choice you can do one of the following:

    1. Hit
    2. Stand
    3. Surrender
    4. Secret Action

This is the good part because on the secret action you can do:
    1. hit
    2. double for any amount
    3. surrender
    4. stand

If you request a secret action card you get it along with the pen. You fill it out and place it into the circle under the secret bet. The dealer then takes a card and deals it - face down - like a dd card.

After the dealer finishes their hand they go around from player to player until they come to you. The secret action is revealed. If it is a stand or surrender then the down card is burned and not seen. If it is hit then the card is turned over. [PS This is how it was done in Aruba - NOW it could be different as they are always looking for better ways]

The secret bet and secret action cards are very suspensful and make it great play! I don't know if you heard Joep and Kenny's last show but I believe that Russ Hamilton said that UBT was in discussions to get the shows on the tele overseas. So hopefully you'll get a look at some suspenful TV. I highly recommend the first episode with our how Ken Smith and HD - talk about suspense!

So if you choose to do a secret action and hit you only have the opportunity to get one card correct?

Joe I was just re-reading this and if you have some time between pounding the football and giving HD a noogie thought maybe you could help me out.

Griffin - Is this the security team that keeps track of card counters?

Biometrics - is this the method of inter-pupilary distances?

what/who was "tagged" by an overseas casino? What does that mean and why?

They were really discouraging you from playing - can they do that? Did you get 86'd from ANOTHER casino?

    Secret Action

Can that be only taken when you secret bet or can you use it other times?

    Cheers

That was MY understanding while playing in Aruba - that may be changed since then and I will defer to the lucky players (who I am SO JEALOUS OF :flame: ) in St. Kitts. :D

That's a GREAT question. I don't think I ever encountered that situation however I "think" that you can use a secret action without using a secret bet. However, once a secret action is used you "lose" the secret bet. I may be wrong on this so once again I defer to those lucky (I'm STILL so jealous :flame: ) players in St. Kitts. :D
