Hollywood is no dummy, after becoming part of team UBT he has been promoting their sites and TV show as well as the Aruba tournaments. That is what he is paid to do (or at least sponsored to do). If you notice it is simular to when a new movie is coming out and the stars of the show start hitting the talk shows trying to promote it, same thing.

So now the promoting is done and by next week the reviews will be in. So far the web sites have not lived up to the billing, but what the hell they are free and to be fair most all web site have a few problems at first so lets see how they handle them before grading them. Note the bonus money issue is really going to lower their grade if it is not taken care of as promised.

My concern about the Aruba events is how can UBT start ranking players for tournament blackjack when it sounds like their will be 4 to 5 times more poker players than tournament BJ players playing in the UBT Aruba?

I am interested to know just how many BJ tournament players end up playing in UBT Aruba. Now I am one that wanted to go play, so this is not ment as a knock on UBT. I am just concerned that the cost for playing in these events out of the country will be to great for most of the BJ tournament players (me included).

As far as ranking the UBT players I have no problem with that, but just note that will be ranking for the UBT events only and not over all BJ tournament player rankings.

If that was the case than we might as well count all the WSOB and other selected and VIP events since we would be eliminating over 90% of the tournament BJ players anyway.

2. How many events will it be?
3. Will it include online and B&M or just one or the other?
4. What is the cost for each event?
5. Will there be anything like UBT where you can qualify for free?
6. Will there be true satellites where the winner receives an entry?
7. Will there be mega-satellites like in poker?
8. What casinos do you have signed up so far?

Rick, don't be a douche. Of course i'm supporting the UBT, but if you haven't noticed, most of my recent posts have been about Luck vs skill, Tourney rankings, my own website, and trying to provide a realistic counterpoint to all the BS you've been spewing about everything lately.

Fact is, until the past 2-3 months, there really was nothing going on in the online/land-based tourney community even WORTH talking about! Hilton Million Dollar over, Global Player offering tourneys with such low turnout it wasn't worth my time to even turn off the porn to go play there, and yes, as Andy rightly pointed out, lots of editing going on with my first book.

Talking shit is what i do best -- but if you wanna talk smack about me, at least know what the F--- you're talking about, buddy.

Wrong again the All In magazine player ranking system
which will kick off with this weeks events will include all tournaments that are open to all not just UBT events. The only requirment is have the host casino to report the semi finals and finals to AllIn magazine player ranking staff.

Joep, I posted my system and you pointed out your concerns, so you shouldn't have a problem with me pointing out my concerns about this system. At least I posted mine on site for the players to see and help improve with their ideas and suggestion.

Seeing you in the commercals and magazine ad's and being on BJT.com promoting UBT is what the F--- I was talking about.

And as for the Bet21 bonus applying to blackjack as well as poker, i have been told that this is something that they are definately working on right now, so i will hopefully have more good news or an announcement for you guys soon on this. i agreed with you the other day, it is certainly not cool what happened, but i hope to hear something much more positive on this issue soon.

And as far as 'slamming' Global Player, well, sometimes the truth hurts. And in this case, the truth is: i don't stop masturbating for less than $500. Sorry, that's just the way it works....

Ranking system

If you have a ranking system it cant include "employees" of the entity doing the ranking. If you are a member of team UBT you must be "eliminated" from the ranking system via conflict if interest. If team UBT wants to rank its few players thats fine, otherwise whats it going to tell you? Well, I guess it will tell UBT whom to can for the next year if the team member doesnt rank considering they will have a great advantage!

You know what's funny about this "ranking" discussion? It really doesn't matter. That's right it's all about ego and too much testosterone in the air.

When I walked into the rooms down here and saw the "big names" playing it's like they've got bullseyes painted on their backs. Everyone wants to take out Phil, Kenny, etc.

Now with rankings unless there's $ involved its all about pride and bragging rights!
