    Prize money has always been the main objective!

    Money is going to be involved in the TBT ranking's, I have said that from the very beginning. The top three players for the year will receive cash prizes and the highest ranked player will also get bragging rights as "Player of the Year" (for the TBT only).

    This is why I posted and asked the players for their ideas and suggestions since it will be you that the rankings effect.

    This is also why I said I wouldn't play in the TBT events because it would give me an unfair advantage over players who couldn't make it to as many of the monthly events, that and with my involvement with the TBT I just thought it wouldn't look right.

    But until the TBT has all the casino locations set up and schedule is made all of this dosen't matter. I only posted my idea trying to get feedback from the players.

    As far as an ego thing, I guess you could call it that, but since I'm not playing in the events the ego factor wouldn't even effect me.

    If you get down to the nitty gritty all expenses should be considered. Travel cost etc. Most everyone will have a negative rating according to a money total! :joker: If you travel to Aruba or Santa Kitty Cat be sure to win big!

    TX,

    I guess we're talking apples and oranges here.

    The ranking system that YOU have for the TBT are YOURS and it applies to your tour the purpose being for payout at the end of the season. What system you use is up to you.

    I was talking about the ranking that UBT will use for "their players". I was under the impression that there wasn't any money to be awarded and that the ranking system was just for bragging rights.

    So have you decided:

    1. What ranking system/qualifications you are going to use?
    2. When your tour is expected to "kick off"

    How about using all those BJ tables of yours, renting out the local VFW hall and having the grand inaugural opening at Texas. I'm sure Joep would be willing to deal!

    Cross pollination:

    Wow the Brits really did give us something original.(modern) five years ago, I heard a rapper, gangster, citizen, splain that short cut for their modern pig latin. It becomes a Zudookoh, though when all you're given is the first word., heh?

    Your right fgk42

    My system was never intended for anything other than ranking the players who play in the TBT monthly and championship event and then it was intended for awarding yearly prizes to the top three players.

    As far as dealers I would rather have Joep and Swog playing (not that they both aren't good dealers), but I would rather have as many of the better tournament BJ players in the field then using them as dealers.

    I may start with less than 12 casinos and just have some of them properties host multiple monthly events, for the first year anyway. Trying to get casinos to try something new is not the easiest thing to get done.

    I still don't have a schedule starting time to kick off the TBT, I'm having to wait on upper managements okay at several of the properties I am trying to get as monthly host properties.

    I will keep everyone up dated with my progress.

    Just plain....

    Just nasty dirty old cash....LOL

    The amounts for the end of the year players ranking's won't be known until the end of the year. I will post the current prize amounts each month along with the current monthly standings.

    I am hoping to award at least the following:

    1st = $5,000, 2nd = $3,000, and 3rd = $1,000

    With good monthly player turn out's maybe we could go up to:

    1st = $10,000, 2nd = $5,000, and 3rd = $2,500

    More Cockney

    Hey, Reachy!

    Thanks for the Cockney lesson. It came in handy when I was watching Dr Who, Friday. When Rose said, "I don't Adam and Eve it!" I at first thought, what is she talking about? :confused: Then I remembered your post and right away got it. :D

    Hey Tex:
    Since you were including on-line casinos will this new laws put a damper on your tour?

    Doubt it

    No I don't think so, with my format the tournaments will be similar to the old New Frontier tournaments where even smaller player turnouts will still be successful based on the re-buys allowed. It is the same format that I use on the cruise tournaments.

    Sure it could cost us a few players each month, but nothing worth worrying about.
