    There is now Shay!

I just talked to Sal Deleone (table games manager at Cherokee, Tulsa) and if you tell them I sent you (Rick Jensen) you will get a $49.00 per night rate. That is $20 discount per night (that savings will help offset the antes anyway).

When you check in talk to Sal (his office is just down from check-in desk) and tell him I sent you for the discount.

This discount will be good throughout the WSOB qualifiying, (at Tulsa Cherokee only).

Hope to see several from this site there January 13th - 15th.

    Directions??

What is the best way to get to Tulsa from the Fort Worth Dallas area. Would it be I35 through OK City or up highway 75 through Denison? I would guess it being about a 5 hour drive. Would I be correct. Looking to play next Sunday the 15th.

    Thanks,

On the mapquest site, they give directions on I 35 to I 44

    See you there on Sunday.

    Thanks,

Thanks, for the reply, but, I have looked at Mapquest, Google Maps, & Yahoo Maps. What I am looking for more specifically is someone who has actually traveled those roads and know the quickest way with road conditions, road construction, things like that. I know OKC did have lots of construction on I35 not to long ago, and the I 35 was also torn up last summer because they were redoing the highway just north of the border. Going up highway 75 may be a little longer, but time wise, may be shorter. I don't know. I just don't want to spent much longer than 5 hours in the car.

    Thanks,

Sorry, can't help you there about road conditions. I'll be coming from a different city than you. Good luck and see you at tournament. I'll be the good looking one. lol.

    Sunday

Can you register at the last minute to play or do they fill up on Sunday? I might come if I can convince my better half.

    I called yesterday

I called and asked about the expected attendence on Sunday, and I was told there should not be any reason to sign up early, that sunday has not been selling out. They said last minute sign-ups should not have a problem.

    Tulsa from Dallas

JM the best way to come up to Tulsa from Dallas is take I-35 north to OK City, exit I-44 east then exit 240 and the Cherokee casino will be on the left side of the highway.

At 70 it takes about 5 hours.

Swog, Dr. Bass, easttexaspro, LHENRYC and his wife, LDE and her husband, BJ Sweetie, Rookie, Maxwell, and myself are already up here.

I believe Luckygem, and maybe ptaylorcpa are coming up Sunday as well.

    See ya'll then.

Hi, Rick. We are just back from Tulsa. I wanted to thank you for the special rate.

The hotel's normal weekend rate is $109 and weekday is $89, so you saved me much more than $20 a night.

The room was great, the food was great, and most of the blackjack players in the casino played well.

Once again, thanks for the rate!

Is the $69 rate for rated players?

    No savings for most

He might have saved you 20 bucks but how about all the people that follow his sports picks there are almost homeless at this point. If they would have only bet against his picks they would own the state of Texas.
