    Tournament Results

It is now 10 a.m. CST & I still can not find results. Has anyone received any info? I am most anxious since I am in first place on the latest posting.

No info. I get up at 5.00 in the morning ( in germany ) for nothing.
I am on the third place on the lastet posting. It is very unpleasant. I ask myself when will we get the result? Tomorrow, next week, next month...?

    As I feared...

I just got an email from WagerWeb:
I went to my account, and I found the $50 ninth place prize credited to my sportsbook account (which is confusingly separate from the casino balance.) To see your prize, go to Sportsbook, Reports, and view All Transactions.

It looks like they paid the prizes based on the "stuck" version of the leaderboard. My final actual score should have been 49.12. The leaderboard shows my much older score. I've emailed them. We'll see how they respond.

I get $700 for the third place. This is based on the "stuck" version. My score is 49.01. ... Ken please forgive me... But my mother played after the stuck and she has 50.01. and she isn´t in the leaderboard, so this is the compensation.

    Well this stinks!

I got 10th place and $25. I had an amazing run yesterday winning five of 7 hands including 2 blackjacks and was sure that I would have raised myself in the standings....Oh well. I also sent them an email (I have received no notification from them at all) saying that this was not a good first impression since they didn't even acknowledge their problems.

WagerWeb Headlines : Congratulations Black Jack Winners!
The weekend's Black Jack tournament was an amazing success. A great turnout (the best ever for a Black Jack Tournament) at the casino and some really excited winners announced today. Goes to show if you got a great game strategy you really can win. We had a tremendous response from all our loyal Casino customers. Thanks to all the players who turned out over the weekend to take part in the "Legendary" Black Jack Tournament. As the Black Jack Tournament grows, make sure you get in early and start winning. See you next time and Congratulations to all the winners. Stay tuned for more

    Bets Paid

The winners were finally posted after 12 noon CST, & fortunately my very luck win rate of 56.25% held up. They credited my $2000 to the sportsbook also, but when I phoned them they agreed to transfer it to the casino account. Now we get to (must) play through 10 times with an expected loss of .47% with their rules. I really do not like the no hole card game.
does anyone know the number of players in the tourney?
Hope to se many of you at Global Player on Wednesday. What a great tournament they run!!! :) :) :)

    Nice!

Congrats Springbac! Despite WagerWeb's issues with this event, I'm glad to see one of our regulars take the top prize.

P.S. I hope you are on the right side of the curve during your wagering requirements. Expected loss = $20K X 0.47% = $94.

    WagerWeb Payout

Well, there is good & bad. The good is that I played 211 hands at $100/hand, plus about 20 doubles & splits, to make sure that I met their requirement of 10 times playthrough of the $2000 prize. With that done, my luck continued & I won another $200 for a total return of $2341 for a $50 front money. Wish I could do that every day.
The bad news is the requirements to get the payout. I bought in for $50 through Neteller, so that is all they will payout through Neteller. The other options listed in their web site payout options are all very expensive. I have sent instructions on wiring the funds to my bank. For that there is a $60 charge. Seems prety steep to me, but guess I should not complain to much. See you wednesday at GP. :) :D :(

    Nice profit

You sound as impatient as me when it comes to wagering requirements! I always start out thinking I'll be conservative, maybe $10 bets on 2000+ hands. After a hundred hands or so, I'm generally getting bored and crank up the bet size. Last week I blew a nice $1500 profit in about five minutes of more aggressive betting.

On the payout deal, that's truly strange about Neteller being limited to the original deposited amount. I've never seen any other casinos have a problem with Neteller payouts, regardless of size or initial deposit. But I did find what you're talking about on their site.

However, I found something else that should help out in your case if they really use the wire transfer option.
"Every WagerWeb Player receives 1 FREE Payout Monthly up to $60 in Value."

Let me know if they end up being able to pay it all to Neteller after all.

    the confusion continues

Seems they finally have adjusted the scores (and taken away $175 of my $200 prize money).

And they really are enough out of this world to state "they had tremondous response from all their loyal casino customers". Great!

    Ugh

Well, it's appropriate to fix the problem, but I was in hopes that they wouldn't take away prize money already given to participants based on the faulty leaderboard. It would have been a nice remedy to just pay everyone based on their highest finish under either version.

I was one of the players who benefited from the adjustments, moving from 9th place to 4th place. Yet I feel like I did so at the expense of others like selecticom.

    final grumbles

Sure. However, it would have been highly appropriate to fix it on time.

You cannot expect every casino to be as generous as the GPC.

I surely do not begrudge you the winnings - I was so unlucky in the first 100 hands that it really is a wonder that I won anything at all. And I sure can handle the loss - I won enough the last few weeks (GMO tournament was only the cherry on top).

What I really dislike is wagerweb.com's information policy (=no information at all during the tournament, no explaining email while taking away already credited winnings, press releases probably made up in advance of all players really happy with the way things developed, ...)

However, this will be my last grumbling post about this issue. The tournament was free after all. I'll probably try the next one as well. With lowered expectations.

    WagerWeb Experience?

Was this their first tournament or have they run some before?

    Yes, they've done this before

I know they've had at least one before, and probably more. If I had to guess what the problem was, I think the tech guys may have set the wrong finish date, and the leaderboard stopped updating 24 hours early.

That doesn't excuse the poor information available, but unfortunately that's not unusual with these online events. For example, the recent Net Entertainment tournaments. They were a great deal, but lack of information cost me any chance to score well in the finals of the Casino Euro event. I'm not complaining too much though. I made about $2800 in those events even without much final-10 money.

I just happened to find out about this WagerWeb tournament via a Google search a few days ago. This is also one of the few casinos that I posted links to before trying out personally. Before posting, I searched some of the popular online gambling forums, and found no significant red flags. I figured this looked like a good opportunity, and it was.

    No apologies necessary

I do not think playing it out of tournament mode would have revealed the things that came up during the tourney. I believe they are more of a sports book operation. They say they have been in operation since 1997, so one would think there would be more experience & personnel depth there. but if they run another, I will try again to see if they improve. I checked with GP & they charge $18 for a wire transfer vs $60 for WagerWeb

They adjusted it, but not quite right. I am still missing despite a score of over 49. I contacted them and hope they´ll fix it soon.

    Still trouble

They've still not resolved this event to everyone's satisfaction. I'll post here when and if they work out the trouble. In the meantime, I would discourage any play at WagerWeb. Sorry for the trouble.

    All set

As far as I can tell, WagerWeb has settled fairly with everyone involved in this tournament. Despite a ton of confusion caused by the leadboard failure on the final day, I must at least commend the management for continuing to follow up with me via email to make sure all issues were addressed.

I don't think the handful of players sent from this site ended up being who they hoped to attract. Apparently, we all played barely over the minimum number of hands (of course! that's the angle!), and have played little as a group since. Their next event will likely feature a much higher number of hands required for participation.

I withdraw my warning about playing there. While this event didn't go smoothly, WagerWeb did make it right.

Ken, I can't find anything at WagerWeb.com about upcoming tournaments. Will you be posting dates in a future thread at your message forum. Thanks
