Your new fixation? Rick, You made two references in your last post about other peoples asses. What is up with that?
I'm not mad at Joep! I had some phone calls asking if me and Joep are agruing, NO! We had a different opinion on a subject. I understand where Joep is coming from, but it isn't fair for all the players. If I had to pick a total of ten players for a team match, I would take Joep and the other 8 from from his list, I wouldn't go by who is winning now. It may sound like I am back paddling, but I'm really not. For yearly awards you have to go by current win's and for a one time event I want proven players on my side. They just may not be the same players. Example: Even if there were four new players that won two tournament each this year I would still take S. Yama, Ken Smith, and Joep over them in a one time event, but for yearly awards the others would be the front runners.
For the record Let the public be made aware that Rick is referring to verbally telling me of this preference, not personal interaction between us, when he states "You know me Bradley... I'm a Butt man...LOL", because if this were not the case, there could be no LOL possible at the end of that sentence. Man, I need a beer after all of that.
Lol I guess I better start sharing the Hooter girl pictures with everyone and not just you Bradley...LOL.
Come on guys! The last few post got me smile but all this staff before.. ...I am saying that what you are saying about what I said is something that I can’t talk... This thread was relay going down the hill, though, there were some very interesting facets to it. I think that it is of interest to anyone who cares about tournaments, if UBT could obtain legal rights for “their” rule of “low man out”. Legal aspect of it is quite complicated and I will start a new thread about it. There were so much “politics” being played about who is doing what and who represents who, and who is responsible for what, and all this really unnecessary secrecy, and yes... lies. Ooops, did I say that? No, I just heard about it, but I promised never to go into details. So we are pals, right? Life goes on. Yuck! S. Yama
Player Ranks A rank of tournament players might be interesting to see. I would suggest something close to what the PGA uses to rank the golfers. It is a "two" year average, weighted more heavily on the previous six months. It gives the major events more weight also. The best thing about the process is the fact it doesn't discount your ranking because of time off, like for injury or boredom. This would be somewhat fair to those who don't play 10 or more tournaments a year.
A new player ranking idea is currently being considered by several of us in the community. Expect news as it develops.
Not said well at all Joep, First of all, I made a poor choice of words, I should have said "....some tournament players...." as opposed to what I posted originally ("....a tournament player...") - as I was referring to that type of tournament player that Mr. Smith admonished to "get off their asses". Even though I could have been clearer, that was the context of the player to which I was referring - which should have been obvious. The above not withstanding, I am at a loss to understand any logic in your emotional, unfounded and incorrect conclusion in your response. Your response also refers to "advantage players and Tournament Pro's [not the possessive case here I believe]" which again, is not the context of my post. I am an avid tourney player who bases his tournament participation on the value of each relative to their cost. Both my original statement, and analogy (in context) stand. I reiterate - "Well said Mr. Smith". However, I must conclude, that based upon your respose to my post, you do not agree with what Mr. Smith posted initially - I am happy to have you correct my perception. The Count
What's great about this country is that we all have the right to agree or disagree with whom we chose ,without having to bear any punishment for our individual thoughts that we have expressed .You have now withdrawn your original statement which slammed all tournament players as a whole .That was very noble of you to do that. My response to your statement was just what it was a response to differ with your narrow minded statement that "ALL" tournament players are whiners There are thousands of players on this board most who I know on a personal note and I can tell you this they are the finest people I have come to know in my life and fair and loyal to their passion which is tournament play.I will not allow you to come on here and attempt to slander tournament players as a whole. If you want to trash me get in line, but be prepared.Your attempt to turn this around to make it seem like that I disagree with Mr Smith is just a poor attempt of a "Smoke Screen" and it has been blown away with the wind.If Mr Smith has a problem with my statement I will hear it from Mr Smith and not have to explain it to you.
what is your advice HELLO YAMA THIS IS EASTEXASPRO{HARRYM.FOX WHEN DO YOU THINK IT IS BEST TO USE PROPORTIONAL BETTING IN THE BEGING MIDDLE OR END OF A TOURNAMENT? eastexaspro ETP, are you asking about bets that represent part of your bankroll proportional to the edge the game offers? Are you referring to one of the worst ideas Wong put into his tournament book? I think this question doesn't belong in this thread. If you start a new one and define your question a bit more narrowly I will respond there. S. Yama
