I asked management at Winstar about the no refund policy on the chips and was told NO they are not refundable, but transferable.

I bit the bullet and booked a last minute flight from Fla arriving dallas @ 6pm and will drive up that evening or fri morning, being there's no shot to "win" a chip. Id still love to buy a discounted one, but wtf, at this point.

If I blow out on Friday, Im driving 5 hrs to Hot Springs Ar to Oaklawn Park for a horse racing ntra qualifying tournament on Saturday and Sunday.

Im starting to think this whole "adventure" wasnt all that well thought out. LOL

 

what time, roughly does it wrap up?

 

Around 11:00 p.m. - 11:30 p.m.

The Friday tournament should be over by 11:30 p.m. and the Sunday playoff (should you make the finals) should be over by 10:00 p.m. - 10:30 p.m.

Packin with you getting in at 6:00 p.m. Thursday, you should be able to make the 8:00 p.m. dinner at Applebees. Hope you come by and at least say hello.

The Applebees is in Gainsvillie, Texas, exit to the right where the outlet mall is and accross the bridge, then follow the service road down to Applebees. Just ask for the TBJPA group once you arrive and they will point you our way.

 

I appreciate the invite,..especially being Im a "nobody"on the circuit, but I just checked my flight and I get in @8 pm, as I changed the original flight. That said, Im really hoping I get unconsciously lucky, (like I did once before, beating 800 at the Hilton) so I dont have to make that 5 hr drive to hot springs.

 

Packin, there aren't any "nobodies" on this so-called circuit. If you post a few times with opinions, tournament info updates, and are simply nice to people here, you're just as accepted by folks on this site as the most successful players. I'm a walkin' talkin' poster boy for that fact. Before Winstar last month, I was a "nobody" here but felt as accepted as the biggest TBJ assassins in the game.

:celebrateHello everyone. I just wanted to say how I enjoy your forum. You all sound real nice and I just wanted to say~ you seem to have the best information about the WinStar BJ tournament. With all the great info I've gotten from all of you, I wanted to share some info I just received that I thought you may be interested in. "The Split" reality show will first air on a local station (Dallas) channel 52 KFWD on Sunday June 15th at midnight. I thought it was kinda crazy that it was on so late on a Sunday night......but at least now we know when it is. Good Luck to each of you!!

 

Different dates and times

I've heard the March "Split" show will be Sat. June 14th from up at the casino (Winstar), plus I've read two other posts one saying Sun. June 15th and Mon. June 16th.

They may all be showing, but to be sure you get to see the show I suggest you check your local listings and ABC and their other networks as well.

I found two stations listing the Winstar poker.
Tonight (Sat. June 14th) I see it listed on KFWD at 11:30 p.m. and (Sunday June 15th) on WFAA at 12:40 a.m.

The Winstar blackjack is listed on the same two stations, however not until Monday June 16th on KFWD at 12:00 midnight and on WFAA at 1:30 a.m.

 

Sadly, and as we had guessed, we apparently will not be able to see the Winstar BJT TV show here. :sad: :cry:
