I am looking forward to meeting everyone in Durant

I also made it and will be in Durant on the 16th. I hope to meet everyone to put faces with names. I know some of you, so it looks like I am going to have my work cut out for me! The competition is a strong field, but I love a good challenge.

Best of luck to everyone that made it this far.

Let's get together for dinner Friday.

Why don't we all meet for dinner Friday night around 6:00 (before the concert).

I'll be staying at the hotel, I should get there around 3:00 on Friday.

    WSOB -- Durant

I, for one, would like to meet all the other BJT.com qualifiers in the Durant tournament. 6:00 pm for dinner would be great. Hopefully, we would go to Gia Como's, Italian cuisine and more:) , which I have been told is very good.

    See ya'all there. :)

    Dinner Friday

I am going up around 3:00 to sign in and get my room and show tickets. I may have to leave to meet my husband when he gets off work. So if I don’t make it for dinner on Friday I will see you all around during the weekend. I don't know about dinner at 6:00 since the Johnny Cash Tribute show starts at 7:00. The Jerry Lee Lewis show is at 8:00, so if you don’t want to see the 7:00 show or if you eat at Stargazer’s buffet then dinner at 6:00 might be ok.

    Dinner at 6:00

We will be getting to Durant somewhere between 5:00 or 5:30. If it is dinner at 6:00 where at? I also heard a small rumor that they maybe giving us dinner just for the tournament players. See ya'll there>:)

  9. we are flying into Dallas

Ok yeah that drive took a lot out of us I think I am still burnt out from last weekend lol. I cant get off work early so I wont be getting to dallas until about 10pm on friday night. I am looking forward to seeing most of you again and to meet the new folks also.

    Just Buffet tonight...

For all those coming to Durant tonight, lets try to get together between 5:50 - 6:00 at the Stargazers (in the new casino) and just Buffet it tonight.

I will just put a list up at the Stargazer for all of us the sign from BJT.com and have them save us our own section if possible. I am guessing we should have around 20 players + guest for tonight.

This will allow all those wanting to go to the Johnny Cash tribute at 7:00 a chance to still make it and the rest can stay and talk.

    Hope to see everyone there.

    I'll try

Hopefully I will be playing in the final five hands.
If not I'll try and record them for everybody.

If I am allowed, I'll also take some pictures. Last year in Tulsa they allowed me to take some.

    Double elimination

Well so far I have found out a couple of things in Durant.

    1) We all got $100 voucher for chip's, you could play or just cash it in for the cash, plus the hotel room. Or if you came in on Sat. you got $200.

    2) They are hosting the finals in a Double elimination format. A nice little surprize, now if you get knocked out early you get a 2nd chance (for free).

We also got vouchers for dinner last night, breakfast, lunch, & dinner tonight.

So far all I had to pay for was my gas up and the $100 more than paid for that.

I played a little last night and sat at a nice table where the dealer busted 18 out of 20 hands...LOL

So far it has been a dream trip, hope the dream continues day...LOL

I've got to meet several more BJT.com members and will try and get pictures if possible.

I'll try and update today results later tonight when I get home.

    Durant update....

Well I won the first table to advance. In the semifinals I ended up with last bet on the final hand BR3 down $28,500.

BR4 was out of it and bet $30,000 all in, BR2 was within $4,500 of the leader. BR1 then followed with a $50,000 max bet (didn't understand why, but let me finish). I follow with my own $50,000 bet knowing I need a swing or DD on the final hand.

    BR4 catches a stiff and stands vs. the dealers 8, BR2 DD on a hard 15, BR1 catches a soft 19, and I hit a BJ!

I am hoping BR1 will DD, but he stands so I have to DD, I catch a 7 for 18, but I still have my "Power Chip" so knowing if I win I am in the finals I use it.

The dealer flips a Queen for 18 and BR4 and BR2 both lose. BR 1 wins ($50,000) and I am waiting for the dealer to turn my second chance DD over and there it was ANOTHER DAMN 7! I pushed and came in 2nd with only one advancing.

O'well, at least I had a shot (a good one), but just couldn't catch the cards. I did get another $200 for making the semi's, something at least.

It was a very well run tournament with only a very few problems that I heard about.

No one from BJT.com made the final table, however I got to meet about about 8 members and enjoyed talking with all of them.
